A lovely stay in walking distance to the colosseum

A clean, comfortable room close to the colosseum and lots of the main attractions! Also lots of restaurants nearby and easy to explore Rome on foot! The check-in process was easy and they were happy to store our bags while we explored the city before our check-in time. Comfortable bed and a nice big hot shower with good pressure - all you need after a day exploring!

STAY AWAY! BEWARE! It started with Sangio Guest House management pestering me on different media more than a week before my arrival, asking for my passport and early self check in, even before my right of cancellation had expired. Busy travelling for work, I would do it just before. Two days before my arrival, they sent me a Whatsapp message saying they also needed a new credit card number or my reservation would be cancelled the next day. I had açready paid for it on Expedia. I stopped my work, went back to my hotel to chat with both Expedia and my bank, who reassured me all was well when I explained to the Threat I was under. Sangio House subsequently deleted their message from my WhatApp. These people are malicious and greedy. Stay away! Added elements: they refused to send me the check-in coordinates to the last minute, after I complied with requirements; Then they informed me they were on the first floor and elevator use was forbidden (I had a 20-kg suitcase and had to climb the 25 steps up and down). The entrance hall smells of mold, the common area inside smalls stale, a different smell from the disagreeable one felt in the bedroom; traffic in the area is HORRENDOUS, catching a cab was almost impossible, horns, ambulance sirens all the time; old dirty windows; ugly white light and sad grey décor; four hangers in what is not a wardrobe; sink in the bedroom that takes up all bench space; nothing fresh in so-called breakfast. The cleaning lady did reply to my bon giorno, barely, did not close the windows after I went out or removed my used mug and so I had mosquitos. They also pestered me several times to leave on the last day by 10am, which is unheard of for any kind of accommodation. They have now deleted all their WhastsApp messages, so as to leave no trace. Appalling place. Malicious people. Stay away like from a mouse tap! Can´t understand why Trip Advisor keeps it on offer. Negligent of them too.

Very friendly atmosphere.Good location of guest house,only 10 minutes to Colosseo. Nearby have entrance to Metro station San Giovanni. Every day room cleaned. Only one problem,if you want to travel with infant baby,need to think about how to carry baby stroller without elevator.

Loved the space in the room, it was useful to have a table & chair with a power plug nearby for laptops. The breakfast area was good, well lit and a good selection of breakfasts. Coffee and drinks were really good. The location was good, with some traffic noise when ambulances came past, but it is an easy walk to many shops, taxi pickups, restaurants so the location was good. The only negatives were that WiFi did not stay connected in room 7 (which is the furtherest room), but perhaps this is the nature of an old building with solid walls. Fortunately I had 5G mobile data so was able to cope. The shower also smelled quite moldy and had a window which, when open, exposed you to other flats.

Its a very comfy place very near from the Colosseum, the subway and the train station. The rooms and the breakfast room are simply adorable! And the owner are the best! I strongly recommend this place!!
